What Fossils can you find Hastings?

Dinosaur bone

There is a wide variety of fossils to be found at Hastings. You can find anything from Dinosaur bones (mostly fragments), to complete fish. Small teeth are far more common, especially sharks teeth such as Hybodus. The most common fish is Lepidotes in which scales are commonly found in the rocks and clay.

Keep an eye open for Dinosaur footprints, the most common being of Iguanodon. These are quite hard to see, but look for three indentations in soft rocks, where it looks as if something has pressed into the rock. You can also find Crocodile bones and teeth, a variety of bivalves and gastropods and many plants. Other reptile remains have also been found here.
